James "Jim" Webber

WEBBER, James R. "Jim" - 74, Clarence and South Range, passed away under the compassionate care of staff at the Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, on June 9, 2013. He was the son of Frances (Rogers) and Sydney Webber of South Range, Digby Co. He is survived by his loving wife, Marion (Jackson); daughters, Darlene Duggan, Lakeside, NS, Jamie Hunsley, Seabright, NS, and Natalie Shires (Danny), Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Gordie, Christopher, Nick and Craig; great-granddaughter, Rachael; step-children, Janice Pilling (Rick), AB, Alan Jackson, Clarence, NS, Nancy Armstrong (Gary), West Nictaux, NS, Beverley Keddy (Steven), AB, Krista Clark (Stephen), AB; step-grandchildren, Cameron, Shane, Alex, Matthew, Emma, Jenay, Tara, Avery; sister, Jean Leech (Ted), ON; sister-in-law, Dorothy Webber (Richard); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Richard. He served in the CAF (Navy) for 25 years, and was a "Jack of all trades," primarily in plumbing, heating, carpentry and saw sharpening, and his skills were much appreciated by family, friends and neighbours. He had many interests, including square dancing, hunting, fishing and boating, and enjoyed the company of many pets over the years. He was a Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Lawrencetown Branch No.112. A legion tribute service and reception was held Friday, June 14, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 conducted by Lawrencetown Branch No. 112. Private burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice. Family flowers only.
