It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Rhindress age 68, of Amherst announce her passing on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Jennie (Goodwin) Lorette.
Shirley loved music and enjoyed dancing at the legion and attending Dick’s Jamboree.
She is survived by sisters Mary Amos, Patricia Lorette and Zella Kelley all of Amherst and Alice (Vaughan) Grater of Toronto, ON, several nieces and nephews and the love of her life Doug Canning.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS. (902-667-9906)
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
Memorial donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre or the charity of your choice.
