Passed away on Sunday, June 16th, 2013 surrounded by his loving and devoted wife, children and family at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Daniel McCarthy in his 73rd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 52 years, Margaret; his children: Valerie (Calvin) Harnum, Tony (Kim) McCarthy, Danny (Jodi) McCarthy; grandchildren: Tracey, Crystal, Brittany, Danika, Sarah, Michael, Nicole, Miranda, Michelle; great-grandchildren: Devinn, Julie, Dominic, Bentley, Ayden, Daelynn and Danaya; sisters & brothers: Sheila Froud, Madeline McCarthy, Eileen McCarthy, Annie McCarthy and Dorothy Quilty, Joey McCarthy, Frank McCarthy and Mick McCarthy; sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Lloyd) Colbourne, Betty Parsons and Cora Pike, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Ann and John McCarthy; siblings: Mary McCarthy, Jack McCarthy; brothers & sisters-in-law: Eric Pike, Gordon Pike, Olga & Richard Park, Edna Pike, Jean & Murdock Prosper and John Parsons. At Daniel’s request, cremation has taken place. The Service of Remembrance will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, June 18th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Don Leonard officiating.
