MR. JAMES ALEXANDER LAING
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Laing on Friday, June 14, 2013, at the age of 80, with his wife at his side. James was born in Winnipeg MB. He married Geraldine Prins on January 2, 1978. James worked for CNR for 37 years in several locations across Canada, and retired in 1989. James is survived by his wife of 35 years Geraldine and his sister Chris Smith of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents Bert and Mable Laing; his twin sister Dorothy Farmer; his brothers-in-law Jack Farmer, Doug Smith, Joe Dernoga, Bill Zelensky, Peter Prins; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Marie and Peter Prins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 11 Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9. James was born February 23, 1933. Funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. from St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church.
