The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, June 17, 2013, of Linus Heffell, of Linkletter, aged 79 years. Born in Freetown, he was the son of the late John "Jack" and Elva (Reeves) Heffell. Survived by his wife Ferne (Ryder) Heffell; sons David (Carol) Heffell, Miscouche; John (Arlene) Heffell, Summerside; Allan Heffell, Linkletter; daughter Karen Heffell (Shawn Dickerson), Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Darcie, Nicole, Quentin, Tyler (Megan), Lincoln and Jeremy; brothers and sisters Agnes Hardy, Summerside; Hazel (Vernon) Stetson, Freetown; Waldron (Joyce) Heffel, Freetown; Mary (Eric) Day, Sooke, BC; sisters-in-law Eileen Heffel Taylor (Don Taylor), Summerside; Beulah Waite, Summerside; brothers-in-law Doug (Marg) Clarke, Nottawa, ON; Alden (Ruth) Ryder, Summerside; Wayne (Laura) Ryder, St. Nicholas; special aunt Marjorie Somers, Travellers Rest; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Myrna Clarke; brother Wesley Heffel; brothers-in-law Ralph Hardy and Ivan Waite; grandson-in-law Dustin Lord. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Wednesday from 2- 4 and 7- 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
