Whitney Robar

ROBAR, Whitney Donovan – 76 of Kingston passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 01, 2014 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Berwick, he was a son of Irene (Leonard) Robar, Kingston and the late Enoch Robar. Whitney was a member of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry for three years. He later worked in the logging industry in British Columbia and Alberta. Whitney lived in the Kingston area since 1983 and enjoyed going to the Kingston Diner for his daily coffee and socializing with the regulars. He is survived by his mother Irene; Uncle Reginald (Jeannette) Leonard, Harmony and Uncle Avard (Juanita) Leonard, Dartmouth and their children. He was predeceased by his father Enoch. Visitation was held Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service was held Friday, April 4th, Rev. Michael Mugford officiating. Interment will be in the Kingston United Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Kingston United Cemetery, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the charity of choice.
