It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby O’Quinn announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Carl; sons: Troy (Tracy) and Tim (Nina); daughter Tamara (Darren); two precious grandsons whom she treasured dearly: Jack Martin O’Quinn and Jake Harvey Carl O’Quinn; sisters: Annie (Gilbert) Vineham, Violet (Lloyd) Frampton, Juanita Griffin, Lillian “Dar” (Eric) Brake, and Marion “Sis” Stuckless; brothers: Arthur “Art” (Doreen) Stuckless and Fred (Janice) Stuckless; brothers & sisters-in-law: Ron (Heidi) O’Quinn, Ed (Triffie) O’Quinn, Odell Healey, Jeannette Doran, Eva Duffy, Caroline O’Quinn, Barbara (Dan) Chan, Joan Nichols, Wayne (Nancy) O’Quinn, Monica (Bob) Bungay, and Kaye O’Quinn, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents Fredrick and Florence Stuckless; stepfather Frank Penney; brothers: Gordon and Albert “Ted” Stuckless and brother-in-law Dick O’Quinn. Special thanks to Joan, Kitty, Yvonne, Irene, Ed, Brenda, Ray, Sandra, and the angels on staff at the Cancer Care Unit and the Palliative Care Unit. In keeping with Ruby’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place from Country Haven Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow from Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ronald MacDonald House or do a kind act in Ruby’s honor. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made by visiting www.country-haven.ca.
