Anne Weighill aged 79 years of Frontier, Saskatchewan passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
She was born at Frontier, Saskatchewan on August 22, 1934. Anne started school in Claydon and then moved to Eastend in grade 2 where she finished school. She was a study supervisor at Ravenscrag and Oxbridge schools. She married Bob Weighill on February 10th, 1955 and they moved around Saskatchewan doing road construction before settling in Frontier in 1966. She worked at the grocery store in Frontier before retiring in 1999. Anne loved doing things for her family, especially cooking. She belonged to numerous groups and was very active in the community. She was a faithful member and was involved in various capacities with the Frontier United Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Bob on December 27, 2007, her parents Vance and Agatha Hanline, her brother Robert Hanline, and her sister Dorothy Webber.
She is survived by four daughters: Robin Korsberg of Frontier and grandchildren Scott (Dani) and great granddaughter Trinity, Amber Hayward (Mike) and great grandson Lucas, and Derrick; Connie Korsberg (Dell) of Frontier and grandchildren Tina Adamchick (Chad) and Tera Korsberg (Adam Spencer) and great granddaughter Layla; Barbara Johnson (Alec) of North Battleford and grandson Nathan Johnson (Kim) and great grandchildren Rory, Brady and Kelsey; Darlene Weighill of Regina; one son, Brian Weighill of Calgary and grandchildren Amanda and Jayden; her sister Kay Shick of Langdon, AB, two brothers: Ross Hanline (Mary) of Medicine Hat, AB; Dave Hanline (Linda) of Maple Creek, SK, sisters-in-law: Helen Taylor of Calgary, Marion Weighill of Vernon, BC, Fay Weighill of Nakusp, BC and Bev Wanlin (Henry) of Eastend, brother-in-law Bruce Webber of Turner Valley, AB as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held from Frontier United Church in Frontier on Monday, April14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Shelby Kinrade officiating. Chad Adamchick presented the eulogy. The Urn Bearer was Tera Korsberg. Interment of her cremated remains took place at Frontier Municipal Cemetery at Frontier. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon (www.Binkleys.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
Honorary Pallbearers were all her family and friends.
