DeVILLER, Olive Margaret – 100, Melbourne, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at home. Born August 12, 1913 in Melbourne, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Anne Patronne (Muise) DeViller. Olive was a homemaker, having worked as a housekeeper and cook in her younger years. She was a former member of the Melbourne New Horizons and she loved quilting, playing cards and bingo. She is survived by her children, Anne Marie Goudey, Yarmouth; Sandra (Tony) Lucas, Walpole, Mass.; Greg (Sheila) DeViller, Melbourne; Bev DeViller, Melbourne, as well as by 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Emilien Surette, as well as by her second husband, William John DeViller; a son, Gregory John, in infancy; brothers, Edward, George, Ernest, Joe and Nelson Boudreau; sisters, Alma Pothier, Laura Deveau and Addie Gaudet. Visitation took place from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, with prayers at 8 p.m. The funeral mass was held at 10 am Monday, April 21 from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne, Father John Mills officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund or to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Cemetery Fund.
