BELLIVEAU, Adrien Joseph born January 6, 1942 in St. Bernard died June 26, 2014 at home in Nictaux after a two year courageous battle with cancer, He was the son of the late Emile and Emelie Belliveau of St. Bernard. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Norma; daughter, Nicole (Jamie) Peppard, Middleton and son, Emile (Erin Balcom), Bridgewater; grandchildren, Molly Peppard, Jacob and Macey Belliveau; sister, Charmene (Paul-Emile) Robichaud, St. Bernard; sisters-in-law, Jean Cox, New Glasgow; Wanda (Ken) Wadden, Greenhill; Kathy (Peter) Strong, Woodstock, NB; brother-in-law, Rick (Karen) Logan, New Glasgow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was formerly employed by Nova Scotia Power for 25 years. He has been retired for 17 years. Adrien marked his place in the community as a resident of Middleton and Nictaux for 40 years, volunteering his time coaching (as well as playing) ball and hockey. He spent many hours at the rink, working as well as skate sharpening for many. He was a former President of Middleton and District Rink Commission and was also an avid member of the Eden Golf and Country Club. Adrien was always known for his booming voice and jovial personality. His bon vivant approach to life lit up the lives of those who were close to him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He will be sadly missed by many close friends who supported him in his battle and will be especially missed by his grandchildren and his grand dogs, Tunnie and Cheeko. There will be a memorial mass at St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, Middleton 2:00PM Monday, June 30, 2014 for those who wish to attend and after the service there will be a reception in the church hall at which time the eulogy will be given. All are welcome. Interment will be in St. Monica’s Cemetery, Middleton. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Middleton and District Arena or St. Monica’s Cemetery.
