CROUSE, Patricia Ann – 67, Lake Doucette, Digby Co., passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 29, 1946 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Anna (Swaine) Brannen. Patricia worked at the cotton mill in Yarmouth for a time, and also worked as a cook, however she put her life on hold to care for her children and her disabled husband. She will be remembered as being a very generous and giving person. She loved baking, line dancing and genealogy. She was very proud of her Métis heritage and was a member of l’Association des Acadiens-Métis Souriquois. She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Crouse of 50 years, as well as by daughters, Holly (Susan), Mavillette, Cathy (Allain) and Cindy (Alfred), both of Lake Doucette. Also surviving are brothers, Larry (Helen) Brannen, Yarmouth and Billy (Donna) Brannen, Toronto as well as by a long-time friend, Melvin Chute. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Walter, in infancy. Visitation took place from 7-9 Thursday evening, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., Friday, July 11, both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Pastor Dick Bourque officiated. Interment followed in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery.
