Peacefully in his home on July 5, 2014 in Perth, ON, formerly of Mississauga, ON, aged 81.
Lovingly remembered by Jeannine Dumaresq and family and by his children, Brian (Barbara) Weeks, Kensington, P.E.I.; Linda Weeks, Mississauga, ON; Greg (Nazy) Weeks, Toronto, ON; and their mother, Leah Weeks (nee Pickering), Kensington, P.E.I. Survived by his five grandchildren, Andrew, Melyssa, Nicholas, Quinntin and Dylan.
Born in Fredericton, P.E.I., on Aug. 21, 1932, son of the late Stephen Roy Weeks and Ruby (Sharpe). Fondly remembered by siblings, Marjorie Buchanan, Toronto, ON; Eleanor (Jack) Howatt, North Wiltshire, P.E.I.; Earl (Dorothy) Weeks, Oakville, ON; Robert (Carol) Weeks, Fredericton, P.E.I.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother-in-law Aubrey Buchanan, and brother Vernon, in infancy.
Visitation will occur on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 1 p.m., New Glasgow Christian Church (617 Route 258, New Glasgow) followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. and interment at Floral Hills Cemetery, Pleasant Valley. Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family at the home of Robert and Carol Weeks in Fredericton for a light lunch and social time following the service.
