­Betty Joan ­Fullerton, age 84 of Halifax passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2014, at St. Vincent’s Guest House.
Born in New Glasgow, NS, she was the daughter of Tina and David S. Hendsbee.
She attended school in New Glasgow. Betty worked at “The Room” at the Bay for over 20 years. She also enjoyed her volunteer work for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She enjoyed shopping, particularly for clothes, and antiquing. She was an avid bridge player. She also enjoyed crafting and was a talented quilter.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Fullerton, sons, Robert (Michelle), Gary (Gale); brother-in-law George Ehler and sister-in-law Dorothy Hendsbee; grandchildren Lauren Fullerton and Kristin (Chad) Clinton, as well as five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings: Vera, Shirley, and Carl.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (902-455-0531). A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Tuesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Stright officiating. Burial will follow in New Glasgow.
