MURRAY-ROBINSON, Helen Dorothy – age 93 of Margaretsville, Annapolis Co., passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2014, at Gardens and Gables Home For Seniors, Middleton. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Karl H. and Josephine L. (Balsor) Phinney. Helen was a school teacher, and had taught kindergarten in London, Ontario, for many years. She was an accomplished musician and composer of children’s songs. Helen was an active member of the Margaretsville Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Richard (Ruthann) Murray, Essex, Ont.; Greg (Peggy-Lynn) Murray, Ear Falls, Ont.; David (Alexandra), Oakville, Ont.; son-in-law, Victor Nunn, Burlington, Ont.; grandchildren, Dustin, Ryan, Alexa, Victoria and Jane; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Sandra King; step-grandchildren, Frasier, Graham and Taylor. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Gordon Murray; second husband, Fred Robinson; daughter, Lorraine Nunn; grandson, Matthew; brother, Robert “Bob” Phinney; sisters, Joyce McNeil and Madeline Pope. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 19, at 2 pm in the Margaretsville Baptist Church, with Rev. Eugene Foster officiating. Burial in the Wiswall Cemetery, Wilmot. A reception will follow at the Margaretsville Baptist Church. Donations in her memory may be made to the Margaretsville Baptist Church. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the owners and staff of Gardens and Gables in Middleton for their wonderful care provided to Helen.
