Surrounded by his family at his residence, Evan G.M. Ash passed away peacefully on Saturday July 12th, 2014, aged 69. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Myrtle, and his sister Nanette. Leaving to mourn with fond and cherished memories are his devoted and loving wife of 45 years, Allison, daughter Jennifer Candow (Stephen), sons Stephen (Sheri-Lynn) and Andrew, and sister-in-law, Heather Thomson. He was a very proud Grandpa to Benjamin, Sarah and Luke. Evan will be greatly missed by other relatives, a close circle of friends and many others whom he touched through his passionate involvement and dedication to Special Olympics and St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church. Visitation will take place at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday 7-9 pm, Monday 2-4 pm, 7-9 pm and Tuesday 10-12 am. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, July 15th, 2014 at 2:30 pm from St. Michael & All Angels Church, 75 Kiwanis Street, St. John's. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. Michael & All Angels Building Fund or Special Olympics Mount Pearl.
