CANN, Robert “Bobby” Augustus – 78, Hubbard’s Point, Yarmouth Co., formerly of North Ohio Road, lost his 18 year battle with prostate cancer on July 15, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, with his wife and daughter by his side. Born December 31, 1935, he was the son of the late Gerald and Bertha (Johns) Cann. Bobby spent his working life in the woods. He will be remembered as a good man who made friends with everyone he met and as a man who would do anything for those he loved. He was always excited to see deer season come around. He also loved to go fishing and building lawn carts. Bobby leaves behind to mourn his loving wife of 12 years (August 16, 2001), Cecilia (Hubbard) Cann and a daughter, Betty LeBlanc, Hubbard’s Point, and Raymond Hubbard, Hubbard’s Point, whom he thought of as a son, as well as a sister, Wendy (Russell) Deveau, two nieces and five nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Adeline; brothers, Malcolm and Garnet; sister, Joyce Lewis and a nephew, Curtis Lewis. We would like to thank Dr. Palmer, Dr. Mahar, Dr. Tom Muise, Palliative Care staff, as well as family and friends for the calls and the visits, and also the nurses on 4-East for your compassionate care of our beloved Bobby, with a special thanks to Megan for making him smile. Visitation took place from 7-9 p.m. Friday, with prayers at 8 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral took place at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 19 at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
