POTHIER, Christine Rose – 98, Villa Saint Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, Yarmouth Co., formerly of Abram’s River, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2014 at the Villa. Born January 10, 1916 in Abram’s River, she was a daughter of the late Trové and Minnie LeBlanc. In her younger years, Christine worked at the cotton mill in Yarmouth, after which she married and raised her children. She will be remembered for her rappie pies, which she loved making from scratch. Surviving are her children, Alvin Pothier, Abram’s River and Anna (Blair) Zinck, Charlottetown, PEI. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, René Pothier, as well as by sisters, Isabelle Doucette and Bertha Pratt. Visitation took place from 7-9 Sunday, with prayers at 8 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, all at H. M Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Burial followed in Saint Anne’s Parish Cemetery, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau.
