Carol Rene (Chandler) Covert died in Halifax July 19, 2014. Born in Charlottetown, she was the daughter of the late Edward & Rene Chandler.

Carol received her early education in Charlottetown and graduated with her RN in1963 from the Victoria General School of Nursing; Carol also did Nursing administration studies at MSVU. Carol’s nursing career was spent at the VG; Halifax Civic Hospital and finally at Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Hospital, until her retirement. In her spare time Carol enjoyed gardening and photography.

Carol is survived by husband Michael Covert; sister Connie Gallagher of Halifax. Carol is also survived also by niece: Lynn (Richard) Grafton, Calgary; nephews: Brian Cox (Christine) Chicago; Jeff Cox (Carolyn Werth), and Greg Cox (Kelly MacLean), all of Halifax.

Visitation will be Thursday July 24, 2-4, 6-8, at J A Snows Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax. Funeral service at Bedford United Church, 1200 Bedford Highway, Friday July 25 at 2 p.m., followed by a reception in the Church Hall. Burial will take place on Saturday, July 26th at White Point Cemetery.
