The death occurred at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS, on Monday, July 21, 2014, of Bennie Grady, of Summerside, aged 83 years. Veteran of the Korean War. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late John and Jean (Richards) Grady. Survived by his wife Eleanor (Smith) Grady; children Jody (Jean) Berube, Barbie (Simon) Arsenault, Chuck (Heather) Grady; brothers Stewart Grady, Grant (Lynnie) Grady; sister Marjorie Gaudet; grandchildren Tanya Birch, Timmy Gallant, Genevieve (Brian) Dempsey, Aimee Arsenault, Melissa Arsenault (Jamie Bowness), Ben Grady and Drew Grady; great-grandson Alex Dempsey; and by son-in-law Hal Birch. Predeceased by his daughter Margy Birch; grandson Grady Gallant; brothers Jim (Janet) Grady and George Grady; brother-in-law Leo Gaudet; and by sister-in-law Margie Grady. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
