CHANCE HARBOUR – Wendy Cecile Lewis, 58, of New Glasgow and Chance Harbour, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital.
Today I leave behind the greatest gifts of life, family and friends, those people who have formed my life and who meant so much to me. To my Brian, the love of my life, you have been my rock each and every day. I love you with all my heart and soul. I wish we could have had more years together. Honey, you made me laugh every day. Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away. Remember I love you! To my daughter, Elizabeth Wilson, I am so proud of the woman you have become. You are so special and have made my life worth living. I love you beyond measure and remember, it is a wonderful world. To Elizabeth’s husband, Matt, you are the person she needs and who loves her. To my grandchildren, Caleb, Rosie and Gabe, you have brought so much joy to my life and may the Wilson grandparents continue to love you for both of us. To my son, Mark, I have loved you every minute of every day. You made my one wish come true; you will be “forever young”. To Rachel, the niece who could have been the daughter! I love you and thank you for all you have meant to me over the years. Thanks to all my friends, new and old; co-workers, past and present; Gloria, Alice, and Ruth, the friends of the past who share so many memories. To Meg, who has been so special and who brought so much laughter to my life, your friendship has been immeasurable. Friendship isn’t a big thing, it’ a million little things. To my brothers and sisters, Howard (Jenny); Keith (Joan); Sheila; Kaye (Ken); Marlene; Doreen (Merle), thank you for being by my side through all the years of laughter and tears. Thank you for your love and support. I hope you all live each day to the fullest and remember all the special times we shared. And Doreen, keep planting. Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening and live each day like it’s your last.
My memorial service for family and friends will be at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit or a charity of choice.
