PLYMOUTH PARK – B. Aleen Kellock, age 91 of Plymouth Park, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 31, 2014.
Born in Plymouth Park, she was a daughter of the late Robert Hugh and Mary Jane (Murray) Dunbar.
Aleen was a longtime resident of Plymouth Park. Her greatest joy in her life was time spent with her family and her furry felines. Aleen’s favorite pastimes included baking, cooking and card playing on Tuesday afternoons at the Golden Glen Seniors Club. She also enjoyed attending antique auctions and the occasional trip to the casino.
Surviving are her children: Rand (Colleen), Lake George; Arlene (Leo Lohnes) MacPherson, Plymouth Park; grandchildren: Taryn (Carlton) Munroe, Marc (Kathy) MacPherson, Laura (Troy) Allen, D’Arcy (Megan) Kellock, Mitchell (Vidhya) Kellock; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Justin, Noah, Nathaniel, Layla, Lucas and Ryan; sisters: Patricia (Chris) Robinson; niece Kelly Karen Purvis (Moon).
She was predeceased by her husband Earle; brothers: Lloyd, John, Douglas and Russell; sisters: Velma, Winnie, Loie and Barbara.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home for visitation from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. from the First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Aleen may be made to the Pictou County SPCA , the Golden Glen Seniors Club or to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
Over the past couple of years our family has been blessed with wonderful people who helped make our mother as comfortable and happy as possible in her home.
We would like to thank Dr. Marion MacDonald, Dr. Gerry Farrell, Beverly, Nina, Ida and Donna, the Palliative Care Team, and the nursing staff of 4 North.
