ALLAN HERRIDGE
Allan Herridge, 51 - Sydney Mines
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we, the family of Allan Herridge, announce his passing on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014.
Born in Neils Harbour, Allan was the oldest son of Barbara & Murdock Herridge (Whitty).
Allan was an avid fisherman, hunter and a great Montreal Canadian fan.
He worked for many years at Stephens Building Supplies; then a number of years in construction.
Allan is survived by his loving wife Josephine (Sutherland) Herridge, his only son Michael, Sydney Mines, daughters Marie (Jason) Cashin, and Mary Ann (Matt Hopke), both of Winnipeg; 4 grandsons whom he adored; A.J, Zack, Braxton and Connor; brothers Robert (Debbie), David (Lisa), Albert(Priscilla), and Roger(Shannon); sisters Bonnie (Jackie) and Nancy(DJ).
Allan is also survived by many sisters & brothers-in-law and numerous neices, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and special Uncle George.
He had some great hunting and fishing buddies who enjoyed his company.
Allan will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Special thanks to all the amazing nurses of the 4th floor and Emergency Department of the Northside General Hospital, Dr. John Kirkpatrick & Dr. Andrew Wawer for the compassionate care shown to our Dad /Husband/Son/Brother.
Visitation for Allan will be held at J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with cremation to follow, and burial at a later date.
