May 21, 1941 - August 18, 2014. It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Kay Daley announce her passing on August 18th, 2014. Kay will be dearly missed by her husband Cyril who stood by her through many moments of laughter and grief with strength, selflessness and love. Predeceased by her parents Gertrude and Tom Wells, sisters Joan McGrath (Tom) and Trudy Wells; brothers-in-law Harold Daley; parents-in-law Cyril and Sarah Daley, and her much loved Golden Retriever, Shannon. Leaving to mourn her sister Patricia (Allan Noftall), sisters-in-law Mary Daley and Louise Buiteman(Peter), brothers-in-law Gerard Daley (Theresa) and Thomas McGrath; nieces Jennifer, Pamela (Tyler Sherwood), April Adams (Justin), Bridget, Elizabeth, Erika Nason (Randy), Christine (Scott Fraser) and Joanne (Brian Power )and nephew Robert McGrath (Rianne). Also left to mourn great-nieces Rachel, Emily, Sarah, Isabelle, Raili, Reagan and special friends Mary, Joan Marie and many caring friends especially Faustina, Donna, Sister Elizabeth Davis and the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy. Kay also leaves a large circle of friends who knew first hand through Kay and her great heart, the meaning of true friendship. Kay will always be remembered for the uncompromising, generous and visionary direction she brought to the nursing profession in the province. Visitation will be held at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Wednesday August 20th and Thursday August 21st from 2p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday August 22nd, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's Parish with cremation to follow. A celebration of Kay's life will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted. Or In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ambulatory treatment unit at the Health Sciences Center.
