LeBLANC, Stephen Peter – It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend Stephen on September 2, 2014, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Yarmouth on August 4, 1989, he spent most of his life in Yarmouth, before moving to Kentville to pursue a career as an auto mechanic. A graduate of NSCC Burridge Campus, his love of cars was familiar to all who knew him. It wasn’t uncommon for Stephen to be as excited about a new part for a car, as a parent is when a new baby is born. For him, his cars were like his baby – carefully put together with love and care. Stephen loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest, spending time with family and friends. The quiet times spent with his father fishing and working on cars will be forever cherished. Stephen had just started his ultimate dream job and was filled with happiness and anticipation for the next phase of his life. Left to mourn are his parents, Peter and Heather (Cunningham) LeBlanc; his brother, Jeffery; maternal grandmother, Eileen (Chetwynd) Cunningham; aunts, Darlene (Mike) Peterson, Judy Roberts-Canney (Scott), Wanda (Victor Harrington); uncle, Wayne (Michelle); aunts and uncles, Connie (Don) Boudreau, Alan (Carolyn) LeBlanc, Michael (Gisele) LeBlanc, Patrick (Donna) LeBlanc; Richard LeBlanc, Clare (Blair) Northcott; special aunt, Joanne (Bill Goodyer) Wallace, and a special cousin, who was just like a sister to him, Elizabeth Wallace. Welcoming him into Heaven is his brother, Andrew; maternal grandfather, Wayne Cunningham; paternal grandparents, Dave and Vange LeBlanc; uncle, Brian Roberts and special uncle and buddy, Gary Wallace. Visitation took place on Friday, September 5th from 7-9 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, where the funeral was held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, September 6th, Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau (his uncle) officiated. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends cancer Help Fund or to charity of choice. You will be able to view the service via live feed through Huskilson’s Funeral Home website (www.huskilson.net), where you may also leave messages of condolence or sign the on-line guestbook.
