BAXTER –Richard Blair “Dick” – age 86, of Yarmouth, passed away at the Villa St. Joseph du Lac on August 31, 2014. Richard was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Joyce; his son, Blair; daughter, Paula Burns; grandchildren, Ashton, Karleen, Darby and Kelson; son in law, Andrew Burns. Richard Spent 38.5 years working for Atlantic Wholesalers. Following his retirement he was a private tour operator for 13 years. He recently received an award and recognition for 55 years service with the Yarmouth Lions Club. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and the time spent at Bell Lake. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and a Lion’s Club Service at 7 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held September 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. from Beacon United Church, Rev. Sharon Lohnes will be officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
