The death of Melinda Mary (Lynn) Acorn occurred on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in Burton, N.B.
Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Myra Squires.
Lynn is survived by her sons, George Acorn of Edmonton, AL, Sterling Acorn (Barbara Ann) of Geary and Michael Acorn of Lincoln; daughter, Charlene Clark (Brian) of Terrace, B.C.; brothers, Jimmy Squires, Kier Squires, Leigh Squires and Gladdy Squires; sisters, Helen MacDonald, Phyllis Stretch, Vera; grandchildren, Lisa Pushong (Frank), Stacey Clark, Carson Acorn and Jeffrey Clark (Jasmine); as well as five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was predeceased by her husband, John Carson Acorn; brothers, Sterling, Willard, Elmer; and her sister, Pearle.
The family would like to thank Rhonda and John Reid, along with the rest of the staff at You’re at Home Retreat for their kindness and great care towards Lynn. The family would also like to thank Gladys Bennett for always being there for Lynn.
In keeping with Lynn’s wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service for family will take place at a later date.
