Eldon Babcock

November 24, 1925 – September 10, 2014


IIt is with loving memories and sad hearts that we announce the passing of Eldon Lawrence Babcock at the age of 88. He lived strong, loved well and is now reunited with the love of his life, Norma Babcock. He is survived by six children: Dan (Joanie) Babcock, Darlene Sylvestre, David (Darlene) Babcock, Donna Babcock, Dayle (Gerry) Goertzen, Darrell (Sandi) Babcock; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Eldon proudly served his country in WWII as a Tail Gunner for three years and for twenty years as a Medic during Peace Time with the Royal Canadian Air Force. After his military career Dad went on to serve God for twenty-three years at Briercrest Bible College. He enjoyed gardening, was a jack-of-all-trades, and an avid ancestry researcher. Together with Norma, they retired to Abbotsford, BC where they led a fulfilling social and church life, while appreciating the climate. Dad moved to Moose Jaw, SK in April 2014 and enjoyed frequent visits with his loving family. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Parkview Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Parkview Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Caronport Cemetery.
