It is with great sadness that Yvonne’s family announce her passing. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 with her family by her side. Yvonne was born in Riverhurst, SK on February 14, 1935. She was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Francis Caldwell and father and mother-in-law James and Florence Miller. Yvonne is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ron; son Darren (Wanda); daughters, Wendy (Wayne) McKinnon and Dawn (Alton) Boychuk; ten grandchildren, Erin (Vinny) Goodfellow, Derek (Jill) Back, Jason (Jenn) Miller, Troy (Rikki) Miller, Jessica McKinnon (Travis), Kayla McKinnon (Nic), Cole Boychuk, Tristan McKinnon, Reed Boychuk and Carter Boychuk; six great-grandchildren, Nessa, Josie, Olivia, Owen, Benson and Joey; sister Verna Riendeau; brother-in-law Barry (Eileen) Miller; sister-in-law Myrna (Bruce) Pearson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She grew up and took her schooling in Lawson, SK. Yvonne worked for CIBC in Central Butte for five years after high school. She married Ron in October 1957. They resided two years in Gaines, SK, ten years in Hughton, SK, with their three children being born in neighbouring Elrose. In 1969 they moved to Strasbourg where they would raise their children and reside for the next 45 years. Yvonne worked 22 of those years with the Royal Bank. They moved to Regina in the spring of 2014. Yvonne was active in the curling club, the United Church Women and the Strasbourg Rec Centre Board. She loved to attend all functions involving her children and grandchildren. They were without a doubt the most important part of her life and she cherished the time spent with her family. We loved her very much and she will be greatly missed. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make a donation in memory of Yvonne to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 – 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 0S5.
