Melissa is held dear to many and leaves to mourn her fiancé Chris Farewell (parents Allan and Ann, brothers Craig, Ian and Brett) and newborn son John Francis William Farewell; mother Shirley (Molloy); sister Melanie (Craig Ryan); niece and nephew Grace and Griffin Ryan; sister Aimee (Mitchell Reid; his daughters Morgan and Emily Reid), aunts and uncles Mary Thorne-Gosse, Mary Tapper, John and Kathleen Molloy, Peachy Molloy, Mary Molloy, Catherine Coady, Jimmy and Pauline Molly, Theresa and John Parsons, Sr. Frances Molloy PBVM, Joe and Sandy Molloy and numerous cousins. Especially loved: Nancy Coady, Martin Gosse, Jerome Coady, Stephanie Molloy, Linda and Leo Reddy, Shelley Chase, Karen Ennis and the Fab Five. Beautiful throughout, her gentle nature captivated the lives of those she met and worked with her including friends met through Coady's Construction, Bridie Molloy's, Fluor (Long Harbour) and Kiewit (Marystown). Her quick wit and fierce commitment to family, her animals and all things Irish, left no doubt as to her spirit and exuberance for life. We are all forever changed by her grace. To know her was to love her and to be loved completely. Her love of all music, celebration and tradition kept her at the heart of the St. John's music community for over a decade. A tireless volunteer and supporter of the arts, she was committed to her culture. Thank-you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and acts of kindness throughout Melissa's illness. The staff of 4 and 5 North B of the Health Sciences treated Melissa with compassion and love - for this we thank them. Melissa's brief battle with cancer was met with her characteristic grace and dignity. Always one to give the best of herself, Melissa wanted nothing in return except the happiness of those around her. horses. cupcakes. art.
