BEZANSON, Isabel Mae (Simpson) - Brickton - December 6, 1940 to September 12, 2014. It is with sadness the family announces the passing of our much loved mom and grandmother at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Her suffering and pain are gone, and she is with her Lord and Saviour and her love “Jackie” in heaven. We are left to grieve, but thankful for our time with her and many wonderful memories. Born in Victoria Vale to a large family. The family later moved to Brickton where she met the one and only love of her life Jack. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Lorna Simpson. She is survived by daughter Brenda and Derrick Ward – Brittany, Jonathan and Tyler, Kingston, NS; son, Mark and Tracy –Noah & Tess, Port George; son Rick and Sandra – Kristopher and Samantha, Sackville, NS. She loved us all very much. She is also survived by brothers, Marcus, Thunder Bay; Lester (Linda), Wilmot; David (Christine), Wilmot; Stanley (Sandra), Brickton; sisters, Jean (Tom) White, Brickton; Pearl Sloan, White Rock, BC; Irma (Mike) Larose, White Rock, BC, sisters-in-law, Karlotta Simpson, Dartmouth and Joanne Simpson, Kingston. She was predeceased by husband John “Jack” Bezanson, brothers, Arthur, Gerald, Allan and two siblings in infancy. Mom was very social and had many friends. She attended Middleton Regional High School then went to work at MT&T Kentville as an operator. Then for many years she worked at Den Haan Greenhouses in Brickton and finally she looked after dozens of children in her home. She loved children. Thank you to staff at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and Mountain Lea Lodge for helping and caring for our mom. Visitation was held Monday, September 15, 2014 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 where a celebration of life service was held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 with Rev. Sweis Ubels officiating. A reception for family and friends was held in the Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, 37 Gates Avenue, Middleton. Interment in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown.
