David Maurice Lanceleve, a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, surrounded by his children and family.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Maurice and Marion (Hussey) Lanceleve.
Until his accident 1975, David was employed as a heavy equipment operator at LeVatte’s Construction and worked on the family farm.
Surviving are his daughters, Kimberley (Gordie) Boudreau, Sydney, and Lisa (Lloyd) Bowman, Barrie, Ont.; son, Todd (Tina), Cold Lake, Alta.; sisters, Farren Lanceleve, Sydney, Verna (Keith) Vacheresse, Mira, Bonnie Woodworth (Bert Morrison), Westmount, and Cindy (John) Planetta, Sydney; brothers, Robert (Gee), Mira, Garth (Shelley), Alberta, and Grant (Pat), Mira; grandchildren, Daryll and Jenna Boudreau, Lucinda, Bobby, Emma and Mellisa Legere, Natasha, Amanda and David Bowman and Jordan, Justin and Bradley Lanceleve; and great-grandson, Taylor.
David was predeceased by his son, David (in infancy) and twin brother, Donnie.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Interment in Oakfield Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
To the staff of Steelworkers Lane at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, David’s extended family, a heartfelt thank you for the excellent care and compassion shown to him.
