Joseph Roger Ryan
April 5, 1941 - September 16, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roger Ryan announces his passing on Tuesday September 16, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 73 years. Born at Great Codroy, Roger was the son of the late William Leo and Emmeline Ryan. He was also predeceased by his brother Leo Jr, and sister Barbara O'Quinn (Ryan). He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his devoted wife Susan of 43 years, his children; Terry Ryan O'Regan's, Tracey Ryan Eastern Passage NS, Roger Jr. (Patricia) Ryan St. John's NL. Proud grandfather of Ryan, Emma, Paige and Harley. He will forever remain in the hearts of his brothers and sisters; John (Jessie) Ryan St. John's NL, Gerald (Margaret) Ryan Great Codroy, Pat Ryan Ontario, Leonard Ryan St. John's NL, Cyrilla Riley St. John's NL, Catherine (Garry) St. John's NL, Mary Noel (Andy) Alberta and a large circle of extended family and many friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday evening and continued on Thursday at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Upper Ferry. The mass of Christian burial took place on Friday September 19, 10 a.m. officiated by Father Lee Lainey. Interment followed at Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Roger can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
