Craig, Edward Owen – age 79, of Dartmouth, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 19, 2014 after a long and fulfilling life with his family and community. Edward was an active member of Boy Scouts of Canada, the Figure Skating Association and had a great love of music. His true passion was running a private care home for seniors with his wife Rose-Marie. Edward was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and had served his country for 25 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. Edward was deeply committed to his family and the church. Born in St. Stephen, N.B., he was predeceased by his father, Mark; mother, Mildred White; brothers, Mark, Clifford, Allen, Fred and Bernard; sisters, Shirley, Edith, Pearl and Helen. He is survived by his sister, Mary; his wife, Rose-Marie Vienneau; children, Jane, Tom, Tim, Damian and Janet; step-children, Shawn, Selena, Andre; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Cole Harbor, N.S on Thursday, October 2nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Church on Friday, October 3rd at 11am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association or any local charity of your choice.
