PHYLLIS ROSNES

Passed on: September 25th, 2014

ROSNES
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Phyllis Rosnes on September 25, 2014 at the age of 82. Phyllis was born November 23, 1931 in Dundas, ON, to Mary Anne and Arthur Whitehouse. Phyllis served in the Canadian Military LAW for a short time. When she married Oscar, due to policy, she had to leave the Military. Phyllis was very proud of her family and that they all got along and respected each other. She was predeceased by her husband Oscar in 2012; parents; three brothers and one brother-in-law. Phyllis will be sadly missed by daughter Anne Marie “Rose” (Bruce); eight sons: Kenneth, Dale (Halia), Wayne (Joan), Gary, Kevin (Debbie), Glenn, Colin (Nancy), and Randy (Jenine); 31 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law; and 2 brothers-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Moose Jaw Union Hospital Emergency staff and doctors, and the nurse and staff in ICU who tended to our Mom in her last days. A very special thank you to Jana for the care and compassion shown to us in Emergency. A time of visitation will take place at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday October 4, 2014 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. A private Graveside Service will be held at a later time when Phyllis is laid to rest beside her husband Oscar at Rosedale Cemetery, conducted by Della Ferguson. For those so wishing, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8, or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917 Albert St., Regina, S4R 2P6, would be appreciated. In living memory of Phyllis, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
