Gladys was born in 1917 in Harbour Breton, Newfoundland. She and her two young children moved to Canada when her husband Reg joined the Canadian Navy in 1940. She and Reg operated Bungay's Grocery Store in North Dartmouth for many years and enjoyed the friendships the store brought them. They were both avid members of the Newfoundland and the Bullbird Clubs where they enjoyed dancing, cards and socializing with friends. They ran the card games for a number of years.
She is survived by her daughter, Nina (Bob) Webster of Brookfield, P.E.I.; sons, Gerald (Pat), Ottawa, and Kelvin (Reg) (Mary Lou), Moncton; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
