Twila Neily
NEILY, Twila Alma – age 82 of Kingston, NS passed away peacefully Sunday, October 5, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by her family. Born in Victoria Beach, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Mildred (Taylor) Sarty. Twila loved her flower gardens and enjoyed her daily newspaper, watching her soap operas, reading and enjoyed travelling. She loved her family dearly, especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Judith (George) Bellehumeur, Brighton, ON; Brenda (Craig) Given, Trenton, ON and Lynn Collins (Perry Boutilier), South Rawdon, NS; sons, Lawrence “Larry” Neily, Jr., Berwick; Michael Neily, Bridgetown; Mark Neily (Christine Boudreau), Torbrook; Christopher Neily (Edith Thompson) West Dalhousie; Randy (Lorraine) Neily, South Williamston and Jack (Kathy) Neily, Coldbrook; sister, Roberta (Pete) Boomsma, Ontario; brother, Reginald (Ellen) Sarty, Port Wade; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Oscar Neily in 1977 and her companion, Tremaine “Turk” Rafuse in 2002. Visitation was held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service was held Thursday, October 9, 2014 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends followed the service. Private family interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. By request, family flowers only. Donations in Twila’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation; Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Cancer Society.
