Jeannee Susan Isnor Barrett

Jeannee Susan Isnor Barrett

Passed on: October 18th, 2014

Today I lost my best friend, my wife and my Buddy. Jackie and Jamie lost their biggest fans and their mom. Kathy lost her baby sister and Jen lost her second mom. Her precious Godson Michael will never feel the love she had for him. Jeannee is just 60 years old, and was my big baby. God had different plans for her than I did and I am sure he wanted a new star in Heaven, and he got one today. Is she missed? You better believe it, but we all know that it is just a matter of time before we are with her again. Her trust in God and her faith did not waiver. Jeannee’s mom and dad Anna and James Isnor, two brothers Jimmy and Barry Isnor, and a nephew Little Jimmy left this world before her and I am sure they waited to bring her home with them in heaven. Jeannee was born in Halifax and worked most of her life at 12 Wing Shearwater (CFB Shearwater) where she was the I.O.R. clerk and Ammo Tech. She loved her job and was highly respected for her skills and uncanny knack of obtaining parts to keep the old Seaking Helicopters flying. Special Olympics was her passion both here and in Halifax. She was founding member of the Metro Association for Autistic Children in Halifax. She was presented with the Base Commanders Safety citation at 12 Wing Shearwater for recognizing and disposal of an un exploded bomb averting a major catastrophe. Jeannee’s dedication, work and expertise to her profession was recognized and she received the Queens Jubilee Medal. Thanks are extended to the Angels at the Chemo Unit in Corner Brook, to the Angels at Palliative Care and to all the doctors who cared for her on her journey both here and in St. John’s, you will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service, of Life, will be held at our Church, St. James in Gillams on Wednesday. Visitation at 1 pm and the service at 2 with Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating. We are taking Jeannee’s ashes home to Halifax, at a later date, where she will be laid to rest at the Last Post Columbarium in Fairview Cove Cemetery to wait for me to once again to lay beside her. An announcement will be made when the arrangements there are completed. All her friends and family will be welcomed. Jeannee leave here on earth her husband Robert (Bob) Barrett, Gillams, Sons Jackie, Gillams, Jamie (Jen) Barrett Corner Brook, her 2 companions Molly & Bubbles, Sister Kathy Isnor, Halifax. Father and Mother in Law Jackie and Enid Barrett Bishop’s Cove, NL. Brother Johnny (Paulette) Isnor Lower Sackville, NS, sisters in law Trudy Isnor, Rosilyn Isnor of Halifax. Sister in Law Annie (Mike) Barrett, Corner Brook, Brother in law Andrew (Liver Lips) and Rhonda Barrett Paradise, NL and her most precious Godson Little Michael, Toronto. Along with many nieces and nephews and friends galore. No flowers, but if you like, a donation can be made to Special Olympics Canada in her memory. My Buddy is gone but will never be forgotten. Wait for me and rest in peace. Your pain is no more.
