We regret to announce the death of our mother Joan Coiffi, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at the Celtic Court, Sydney.
Born in Toronto, Ont., Joan was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Maude Barnes.
Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her first husband, George Fitzpatrick and her second husband, Richard Coiffi.
Joan is survived by her sister, Pat Poulo, Mississauga, Ont.; her daughters, Joanne (Donnie) Coiffi, Sydney, Kim (Colin) Pottie, Sydney, Kathy Evans, Toronto, Ont., Shirley (Bob) Robertson, Chattom, Ont.; stepchildren, Pat Lafreniere, Pembroke, Ont., Lorna Butterworth, Pembroke, Ont., and Rick Coiffi, Toronto, Ont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Brandon, Devin, Megan, Amanda, Tommy, Karen, Mike, Jamie, and Scott, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff of Celtic Court and Dr. Critchley for their wonderful care given to Mom over the years.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, in the S.W. Chant & Son funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
