de Haan, Huite (Harry) - On October 27, 2014, in his 80th year, with his family at his side, the Lord took Harry peacefully home, at Emmanuel House in Hamilton. He will be missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary (Veinotte), his son David (Rachel), his son Michael (Pamela), five grandchildren: Scott, Jessica, Matthew, Rebecca and Jacob. Survived by his brother Cecil, brother Bart (Lynda), sister Etteke (Fred) Spoelstra. Predeceased by brothers Andrew, Bob and Hank. Harry will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in the Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada (Middleton, Nova Scotia.) in 1957. Harry worked for Bruce Motors before moving to Hamilton. He still kept in contact with family and friends in the Valley. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was held at Stanley Avenue Baptist Church.
