It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. Michael passed away very peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side, Nov. 21, 2014.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the much loved son of Douglas and Bonnie (Pace) Marshall.
Michael was a little angel living here with us on earth. He was a very happy and pleasant boy with a huge smile. Michael’s days were made much more enjoyable because of the wonderful daily care he received from his loving and devoted mother.
Michael will be sadly missed by his loving parents, Doug and Bonnie Marshall; sister, Amber; grandmothers, Doris Marshall and Lorna Pace; special aunt and godmother, Bernadette (Walter); aunts, Tracy (Les), Annalee (David), Lorraine (Stanley), Shannon (Craig); uncles, Greg (Jackie), Bruce (Sherri), Billy (Lydia), David (Tish) and numerous cousins.
Michael was predeceased by his grandfathers, Jim Marshall and Emilio Pace; aunt, Diane Marshall and uncle, Kenny Hoffman.
Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the C.B. Cerebral Palsy Association.
There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.
At this time we would like to express our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and all staffs at the ICU, IMCU and 4A for the care and loving compassion given to Michael.
The funeral mass, officiated by Fr. Norman MacPhee, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, in Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay. A reception will follow in the church hall.
