With sadness, the family announces that Marie Elisabeth Prior passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 at the age of 97 years. Marie was born on the family farm at Parkbeg, SK on August 13th, 1917 to parents, Louis and Methelie Johnsen. She was predeceased by her parents; uncle, Axel Hansen; brothers: Freddie, Vern, Ralph and Ted; sister, Elsie; husband, Chester; and son, Bob. Marie leaves to mourn: her sister, Esther Walker of Regina, SK; son, Brian (Bev) of Moose Jaw, SK; daughter-in-law, Pat of Mortlach, SK; grandchildren: Jeff (Crystal) of Red Deer, AB, Michelle of Regina, Deanna (Mike) McCubbing of Moose Jaw, Ryan (Angela) of Moose Jaw, and Crystal (Jeremy) Johnson of Moose Jaw; great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Steven, Justine, Brenden, Evan, Reese, Danny and Rhett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Pioneers Lodge for the exceptional care shown to Marie. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 28th, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery at a later date.
