ARNOLD WILLIAMS
January 28, 1933 – November 24, 2014
In the early hours of November 24, 2014, Arnold Williams peacefully passed away at Providence Place, Moose Jaw at the age of 81 years. Arnold was predeceased by his parents Percy and Rose who ran the William’s Shoe Repair for years. He is also predeceased by his first wife Madeline and his nephew Robert (Bob) Williams. He is survived by his loving wife Olive (Ollie), Ollie and Arnold were old school sweethearts from grade school; brother Don (Marion) of Moose Jaw; brother-in-law Russ Gerrie of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Belle Gerrie of San Diego; nieces Debbie Sears, Leesa Langford (Kevin); nephew Gregory Sears (Tanya); and his hunting dog, a German Shorthair called Major. Arnold and his brother Don owned and operated “All Seasons Sports” on High Street in Moose Jaw. He was an expert shooter and lived for hunting, fishing and skeet shooting and in his younger years motorcycling with Ollie on the back. Arnold belonged to the Sask. Wildlife Federation, Moose Jaw Branch, the Moose Jaw Trap & Skeet Gun Club which he started and ran. He loved to travel; Japan, Hawaii, Las Vegas and wintered in Palm Desert. When Arnold retired he settled at Buffalo Pound Lake. A Funeral Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel, Monday December 1, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, 9 Lancaster Road, Moose Jaw, S6J 1M8.
