It is with great sadness that the family of the late Muriel Stella Pynn announce her passing at the Raspberry Rd Unit, Long Term Care in Corner Brook on Saturday, November 15, 2014 in her 85th year. With fond & loving memories she will be sadly missed by her daughter Pauline (David Barry) Corner Brook; her sons: Craig (Lisa) ON; Darin (Fiona) AB; her son-in-law Harold Pike ON; her 6 Grandchildren: Mark Barry,South Korea; Paul Barry, BC; Bert & Kailla Pike, ON; Tyler & Nicole Pynn, ON; Step-grandson John Michael, AB; and her 3 Great-grandchildren: Leah, Erika and Spencer Pike, ON. Also lovingly remembered and mourned by her sister Irene (Ray Curlew), Reidsville; her brother Artie (Alice), Reidsville; brothers-sisters-in-law: Floss Reid, Cormack; Fred (Tilly) Pynn, Corner Brook; Kay (Ron Harvey), BC; Pearl (Pete McCarthy), ON; Winnie Pynn, ON; and Joan Pynn, Corner Brook. With grief and remembering how Muriel touched their lives, there are a lot of nieces, nephews, family and friends in Corner Brook, Reidsville, Deer Lake and scattered through-out NL and Canada. Especially; Perry, Michelle, Shirley, Sadie and Audrey. As well as her neighborhood card-club group and the many boarders she housed and made friends with over the years. Muriel was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Bert; daughter Grace Pike; granddaughter Angel Pike; parents Steadman & Francis Reid; parents-in-law Arthur & Mary Pynn; brother Doug, sisters Annie Stone, Pearl Hutchcroft; and brothers-in-law Alfred Stone, Arthur Hutchcroft, Vernon & Josh & Ford Pynn; sisters-in-law Effie & Mary Pynn. The family wishes to express deep appreciation and thanks to Dr. Westby and the devoted & caring staff and volunteers of Raspberry Rd Unit at the Long Term Care Facility. In keeping with Muriel's wishes cremation has taken place with internment to take place at the Deer Lake Cemetery, Wight's Rd. on a later date. A Memorial Service will be held at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Long Term Care facility or Parkinson Society NL in Muriel's memory would be greatly appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, Deer Lake.
