Emmett P. Curran
Age 83, a long time resident of Lynn, MA, passed away December 12, 2014, at Salem Hospital. Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, he was the son of the late John M. and Mary J. (Casey) Curran.
Emm was raised in Prince Edward Island. He attended the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Ottawa, Canada where he studied for the priesthood. After relocating to the States and a career change, he worked as a machinist in the tool and die industry. He enjoyed spending his summer vacations in P.E.I., and often spending his free time at the Suffolk Downs racetrack. He was a mentor and councillor at the Alcohol Anonymous meetings in Lynn.
Emm will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his sister, Catherine A. Johnston, of Lynn and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the brother of the late Sixtus, Zeno, Earl and Marie.
