It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Una Lavina Lewis announce her passing at Western Memorial Hospital, on Monday, December 15, 2014 in her 83rd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her soul mate: Thomas Vincent; children: Eric (Marion), Paulette (Darren) and Sharon; grandchildren: Marty (Keala), Amber, Jonathan, Jason and Andy; one great grandson: Brooklyn; stepchildren: Judy (Bob), Tommy (Christina), David (Fornora) and Brenda (Helmut); 10 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; sister: Rosie (Don); brothers: Jordy (Vera) and her cherished baby brother: Ivor; sister-in-law: Bessie; brother-in-law: Hollis; her friends at Mountain View Home in Meadows where she resided, and her adorable pooch: Benji. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends who adored her for her kind and loving nature. She was predeceased by her husband: Wallace Lewis; son: Andy Lewis; parents: Ellen and Herbert Hann; sisters: June Wheeler, Hazel Brake and Dora Vincent; brothers: Harvey Hann and Herbert Hann (Jr.); brothers-in-law: Louis Vincent and Rupert Roberts. Una will be missed for her strength and compassion, as well as her loving and nurturing manner. She has definitely touched the lives for the better to all who knew her. Friends and family may visit Bethany United Church in Summerside on Tuesday, December 16 from 7-9 pm., and Wednesday December 17, from 2-4 pm. and 7-9 pm., from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2 pm. officiated by Reverend Wendy Lowden. Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery, Summerside. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Bethany United Church Property Fund or a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made by visiting our website at www.country-haven.ca .
