Surrounded by his loving family, John Robert Dawson of Bay Roberts, passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on December 15, 2014 following a brief illness. Predeceased by his wife Geraldine (nee Quigley) (2000); parents Ronald S. Dawson (1990) and Patricia (nee Hunt) (2014) and infant sister Christine (1954). Leaving to mourn daughters Jacqueline (Adam Mlodzinski), Jane (Scott Noseworthy) and Joanna (Mark Nagelberg) and grandsons Timothy, James and Nicholas; 12 brothers and sisters: Edmund (Marilyn Jones), Catherine/Kit (Leo Lewis), Eileen (Wayne Gamberg), Mary (John Barry), Dolores (Peter Sutherland), Peter (Josie Hannon), Nancy (Don Barry), Patrick (Mary Downey), Dennis (Bridget Dober), Genevieve (Paul White), Chris (Pam Phillips) and Celine (Keith Lahey). The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the 5th floor nursing staff at Carbonear General Hospital for their compassion, care, warmth and dedication. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday. December 17 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Thursday, December 18 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 19, 2014 from St. Pius X Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Bellevue Roman Catholic Cemetery.
