Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on the 28th day of December 2014. Mrs. Florence Simms of St. Anthony in her 84th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Iris (Mike) Ryan, Darlene (David) Williams, Bella (Guy) Krepps, Josalyn Simms-Elliott, Leroy (Laurie) Simms, Melvin Simms, David Simms, Paul (Sherry) Simms, Paula (Rex) Simmonds, Carolann (Paul) DraJem, and Donna (Lynn) Simms St. Onge; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Stewart (Flora) Letto; sister Myrtle Jones as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Simms, father Peter Letto, mother Martha Letto, brothers Hedley, Ellis, Manuel Letto, and sister Dorothy Letto. Visitation was held at the funeral home is St. Anthony from where the funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, the 2nd day of January 2015 with Rev. Fr. Paul Findlay officiating. Interment followed in the St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
