ROBICHEAU, John Reginald “Reg” – 94, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 18, 1920 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late James Andrew and Mary Susanna (Atkins) Robicheau. Reg was a textiles worker for 47 years, and was a veteran of the second World War, having served overseas. He was a lifetime member of both the Yarmouth Lion’s Club and of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 155 Wedgeport. He was also a veteran of the Yarmouth Fire Department, having served with Neptune Company No. 4. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by daughters, Susanna “Sue” (Bret) Wallace, Windsor Junction and Merianne (Rene) Boljko, Ontario, as well as by grandchildren, Bret, Alanah, Jennifer, Merielle and James, and he was looking forward to the birth of his first great grandchild this coming July. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marion M. (Hebb) Robicheau, as well as by sisters, Dorothy Robicheau (in infancy), Cecelia Deveau, Mildred Garron, Bernice Cleveland and Nellie Allen; brothers, Frank, Raymond and Percy Robicheau. Visitation took place from 10-10:45 a.m., Monday, January 19, with a Lions Club service beginning at 10:45, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., all at H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Reg’s memory may be made to the Tri-County Site of the VON, the Canadian Red Cross or to the Yarmouth Lions Club.
