Edward Flint
Passed on: January 13th, 2015
Edward George Flint died January 13, 2015 at 77 years of age in the Regina General Hospital. He was born in Moose Jaw, SK on November 5, 1937 to Ethel and Wilfred Flint. George lived his life in Moose Jaw, attended King Edward Grade School and Moose Jaw Technical High School and worked for several years for Saskatchewan Telephone retiring early due to illness. George and his father were very close sharing a love for woodwork and creating beautiful bows and arrows. They hunted in the Buffalo Lake Area enjoying the beauty of the hills and coulees. He had many talents, painting in oils being another. In later years his illness took over his life causing him to live ‘in care’ with professional care givers, Mrs. Doreen Tarrant, and in Capilano Court. He married and had one daughter, Georgette, who predeceased him. He is survived by people who enjoyed his spirit and were proud and happy to have him in their lives: his brother Robert Flint (Karen), their daughter, his niece, Joanna and his great-niece Sylvianne; sister Margery Gallinger, her sons, his nephews, James and great-nephew Shane, William (Tanya) and Scott Gallinger; his adopted Uncle Lorne and Aunt Sally Smith. Happy holidays were spent with Aunts and Uncles, The Banks, Hilda and Lewis cousin Pat (Jim Calvin), Joan (Frank O’Neill), Wayne; Uncle Harold Flint (Olive), cousins Allen (Jeannie), Harold (Lynda), Pat (Peter Hildebrand), Beryl (Jack Macauley); Tom Flint (Emma) and Dick and Leslie Hepler. We would like to express our gratitude to his kind caregivers who made his last years as much as they could be. A Private Family Ceremony will be held at a later date in Moose Jaw. In living memory of George, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
