It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia V. LeBlanc at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Jan. 27, 2015.
Patricia was born in Sydney, N.S., and was one of four daughters of Olive (Jewer) Brewer and the late William 'Bill' Brewer.
Patricia graduated from UCB with BBA (Major in Accounting) in 1994 and was a dedicated advocate for women and people with disabilities. She was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army, past president of Community Involvement of the Disabled (CID), and served many years with the Nova Scotia Advisory Council of the status of women.
She was a loving mother and will be remembered by her family and friends as a gentle, caring women, who loved playing card games, board games, painting, and puzzles.
She is survived by her son William 'Bill' (Wanita) Peterson; her precious grandchildren, Connor, Jaxon, Madison and baby Katelyn (due Feb 28). She is survived by sisters, Shirley (Dennis) Robinson, Helen Piche; nephew Nathan Robinson of Winnipeg; special niece, Ronda Rose, Sydney, N.S.She is also survived by her stepchildren, Bill, Pam and Heather; and many close friends.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Earl Peterson, Earl Flynn and Cameron LeBlanc, sister, Lillian Brewer, and brother-in-law, Wes Piche.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and continuing again on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 from 11 a.m.-1 pm in the funeral home. Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army, Inglis Street, with Kevin Head and Major Kent Hepditch co-celebrating.
